This volume aims to guide the reader on a journey through the history of the church of San Pietro e Paolo in Zollino in a more concise yet comprehensive form than the actual “art guide”/ “artistic guide”. The first part of the volume retraces briefly the historical events of Zollino as well as those connected with the construction and development of the church. The second part of the guide describes the layout of the church from an architectural point of view, but above all it helps the visitor not to get lost in the complexity of the chapels and their decorations. Two other chapters of the volume are focused respectively to the analysis of the degradation of the monument and to the recent restoration work, the aim of which was to give this little architectural gem back its deepest meaning.
